Mission: The Mission of the Region 5 VCAT is to Empower and Advocate for Veterans within Region 5 to improve their quality of life. The Region 5 VCAT is here to create a thriving veteran community through the development of jobs, education, housing, and quality of life by connecting people, ideas and resources.

“No Wrong Door” for Region 5 Veterans

The Region 5 VCAT strives to work with Federal, State, County, Community, and Faith-Based organizations to ensure the needs of Veterans in Region 5 can be identified and the services needed can be provided. We are diligent in ensuring that we are collaborating and providing a range of available resources.

What is VCAT?

Many of you may have heard the term VCAT, but there may be a question of what is VCAT and what do they do?

The basis of VCAT is the development of a comprehensive network of service providers and community members dedicated to ensuring Veterans and their families are served efficiently. Through education, collaboration, and the sharing of best practices this can be achieved.

To ensure we are fulfilling our Vison and Mission the Region 5 VCAT has built a comprehensive network made up of 196 service providers within an 8 County Region in East Central Michigan.  Our Pillars of Service include:
